12672 Senior Infrastructure System Support Engineeer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure System Support professional to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing their organization’s IT infrastructure. As a Senior Infrastructure System Support person, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems while providing expert-level support to resolve complex technical issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.
  2. Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to infrastructure components, including hardware, software, and networking.
  4. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization’s systems and data against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  5. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansions in coordination with other IT teams and stakeholders.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for system configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the infrastructure support team.
  8. Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure alignment of infrastructure solutions with business requirements and objectives.
  9. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner to minimize business impact.
  10. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to infrastructure management and support.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
  2. Proven experience (5+ years) in supporting and managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  3. Deep understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and proficiency in system administration tasks.
  4. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
  5. Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  6. Familiarity with security principles and best practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
