12705 Technical Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager who can analyze, plan, and implement various technical projects for clients. The position will closely collaborate with the business and technical teams to plan and implement project objectives. The PM will be making sure that the cyber security is in compliance with UN standards (UN Regulation No. 155 covers the uniform provisions for vehicle cybersecurity and cybersecurity management systems. The requirements of this regulation can be closely mapped to the requirements laid out in ISO 21434 – Road Vehicles – Cyber Security). This will be a Governance, Regulation and Compliance project. The duties are to make sure these cyber security projects for these vehicles are UN-R155 compliant.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to co-develop a project roadmap and drive them from start to finish in a fast-paced environment.
  • Examining and reviewing work outputs for verification.
  • Document Security & IT procedures according to the policy and standards.
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined project requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Turns data insights into projects with actionable outcomes.
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refine priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Leads the process based on an intimate knowledge of stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge requirements with project goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze the project plans and provide actionable feedback for improvements.
  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
  • Work with overseas members especially in Japan by attending early morning or late evening meetings, resolve conflicts coming from cultural and/or business practice differences, and establish collaboration with all members towards the same goal.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however, at times this role is expected to lead, train, and mentor project team members.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Management Information Systems
  • 5-8 years of experience of project management and project management skills
  • 2-4 years of experience of Scrum methodology
  • Successful multiple projects in Product Management and/or Product Development

Certifications – Nice to Have  Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution preferred such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

Work Location: On-site (Plano, TX) & hybrid. Required to be onsite immediately on requested basis.

Travel: This position requires up to 5% travel of domestic and overseas.
