Our client in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to design, develop, and deploy high-impact data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. You’ll work directly with business leaders to translate complex challenges into intuitive, data-driven insights that power strategic decision-making.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who enjoys building data products end-to-end—ingesting and modeling data, optimizing performance, and creating compelling dashboards that deliver measurable business value. You’ll work in fast, iterative cycles, delivering 60-day MVPs and continuously improving based on stakeholder feedback.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, from data ingestion and modeling to visualization in Power BI.
- Write optimized SQL/T-SQL and build scalable data models using DAX and Power Query (M) for high-performance reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and trust in data products by promoting strong data governance and quality standards.
- Deploy and iterate on dashboards with business users, incorporating feedback to improve usability and impact.
- Align data initiatives with organizational KPIs and strategic objectives.
- Maintain BI systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and data security.
- Use Python or R for automation, advanced analytics, or machine learning integrations as needed.
- Design and optimize ETL processes to ensure data is efficiently extracted, transformed, and loaded.
- Stay up to date on Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern BI trends to drive continuous innovation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Modeling.
- Deep expertise in Power BI, including complex DAX, star schema modeling, and performance tuning.
- Strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with ETL and pipeline tools such as Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Data Factory, or equivalent.
- Experience with SSIS, Informatica, or similar tools preferred.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation.
