Our client in Irving, Texas is seeking a Loan Quality and Collateral Operations Analyst. Join their team to play a critical role in analyzing and managing collateral pledged by member banks to secure advances. This position involves operational analysis, collateral verification, and property inspection in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. You will also oversee data analytics for various functions, including credit enhancement monitoring, quality control of new originations, High-Level Concern (HLC) loans, default servicing, and regulatory data reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collateral Analysis and Verification:
Review and analyze loan documents for collateral pledged under blanket liens and custody arrangements to ensure compliance and security interest perfection.
Evaluate appraisal reports and mortgage notes to confirm collateral adequacy.
Conduct collateral verifications and inspections of pledged commercial properties to determine type, class, and value.
System Maintenance and Enhancements:
Assist in maintaining departmental systems by defining requirements, developing specifications, and executing testing scenarios for system enhancements or modifications.
Held-for-Sale (HFS) Program Operations:
Manage daily monitoring, updates, and quarterly collateral verifications for the HFS program.
Facilitate onboarding for new members, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Reporting and Analytics:
Prepare and maintain reports related to collateral verifications, valuations, UCC filings, property inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Track and analyze data from quality control reviews and servicing reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Regulatory Compliance and Policy Review:
Perform compliance reviews of department policies and procedures, interpreting relevant regulations.
Maintain and update policies and workflows to align with operational risk, regulatory standards, and process improvement goals.
Data Quality and Integrity:
Conduct detailed loan-level analyses using advanced tools and methods.
Research and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Aid in fulfilling regulatory data reporting and special data requests.
Process Improvement and Risk Mitigation:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across operations.
Enhance workflows to monitor and communicate credit risk effectively within the team and organization.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Act as a liaison between internal departments and external business partners to support product development and financial institution relationships.
Participate in regular system calls to discuss mortgage program management, product development, and system enhancements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Take on additional assignments as needed to support departmental objectives and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or real estate is required.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in banking, commercial real estate, or mortgage/warehouse lending (e.g., appraising, underwriting, commercial lending, or loan processing).
A relevant college degree may substitute for part of the experience requirement.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to validate large datasets for accuracy and compliance.
Proven ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency and accountability.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with experience interacting directly with lender executives.

Technical Proficiency:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe, and Excel.
Experience with Power BI and SQL/SSRS is required.
Ability to manage complex projects and participate in highly technical initiatives as a contributor or team member.
