Our client in Southlake, Texas is seeking a Remote Business Development Manager who resides within the United States. The Business Development Manager is responsible for expanding market presence by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and executing strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth. This role will collaborate closely with global sales, marketing, and engineering teams to design and implement strategies aligned with the company’s objectives. A key focus will be managing and growing global key accounts by presenting tailored, value-driven solutions that leverage our client’s worldwide capabilities and footprint. Some travel required.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities within Med-Tech and Lifesciences, Aerospace, Smart Infrastructure and Environment, and Industrial Automation verticals.
- Develop and implement strategies for generating new business opportunities in all regions with existing regional and global key accounts. Deploy various channels, including networking events, trade shows, and digital marketing, to identify and engage potential clients.
- Responsible for implementing business development and strategic plans in support of Global Key Account Management (GKAM) objectives. Serve as key point of contact within NA region responsible for execution of GKAM sales plans.
- Regularly engage in prospecting activities, client meetings, presentations and other customer-facing activities to support achievement of revenue targets associated with our global and regional key accounts.
- Track, monitor, and present sales performance metrics to provide leadership with sales funnel data and progression of opportunities throughout sales cycle. Provide regular reporting and updates regarding market trends, competitive landscape, and business development activities. Utilize CRM tools to track, monitor, and report on sales funnels.
- Collaborate with senior commercial roles in all client regions (e.g. APAC) to support global supply chain strategies of Global Key Account customers headquartered in the United States.
- Develop and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Align with key internal stakeholders to support development of customer proposals and successful project transfer and implementation.
- Responsible for open book pricing and contract negotiations with potential and existing clients as per authority level matrix. Oversee the sales cycle from the initial point of contact to the conclusion of the transaction.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 7-10+ years’ experience in Consultative Selling and Business Development activities.
