Our client in Farmington Hills, Michigan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate IT Technical Lead with 3 to 5 years of experience to join their dynamic IT team. This position is ideal for a candidate who has the potential to step into a leadership role and lead projects as a technical resource. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our IT applications, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.

Technical Leadership:

  • Assist in leading small to medium-sized projects, acting as the primary technical resource.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Development & Enhancement:

  • Develop and enhance applications based on business needs, utilizing best practices in coding and development.

System Integration:

  • Integrate new applications with existing systems, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.

Application Support:

  • Support and maintain existing IT applications, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, tuning, and maintenance tasks.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve application-related issues, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of application development processes, configurations, and changes.
  • Generate regular reports on application performance, issues, and resolutions.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on project status and application performance.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve application performance and reliability.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in IT application engineering or a similar role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar. Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).

Project Management: Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Ability to lead projects and manage technical resources.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Japanese Language: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese. Ability to translate technical documents and communicate with Japanese clients and partners.
