Scope of Work
The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering Outside Plant (OSP) field data collection in Tulsa, OK. This role involves visiting multiple job locations daily to collect, record, and analyze existing field conditions related to aerial cables and poles, underground structures such as handholes and manholes, cabinets and terminals, and street/right of way measurements. The candidate will also be expected to determine ideal locations and situations for above ground, buried, or underground equipment and cables, and identify field issues that may impact network designs.
Responsibilities:
- Field Data Collection: Travel to multiple job locations daily to collect data for proposed designs to ensure field accuracy and propose adjustments as needed.
- Documentation: Take notes, field measurements, and photos of utility poles, equipment, cables, proposed equipment locations, and existing customer telecommunications equipment rooms.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with on-site customers to determine pre-construction/installation requirements and complete all necessary Site Visit Checklists and other related documents.
- Outdoor Work: Walk and work outdoors daily, in different weather conditions.
Experience and Requirements:
- Preferred Experience:
- Utility construction in an outside plant environment.
- Reading and analyzing utility work prints.
- Knowledge of aerial, underground, or buried telecom infrastructure.
- Past field data collection experience.
- Essential Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- AT&T UID
- Access to AT&T databases (WALDO, ARAMIS, MIC, etc)
Previous experience with utility construction in an outside plant environment, as well as experience reading or designing utility work prints, is a plus but not required.
