Our client in Plano, Texas, a fast-paced IT company, is seeking an HR Business Partner.  The objective of the role is to effectively use human resources to accomplish the goals, mission, and vision of the Cybersecurity business teams through positive HR employee relations. This role will be responsible for handling various conflict resolutions, delivering policy information, and proposing solutions to enhance employee growth and retention.  This role is a three month contract; may be extended.

Seeking an HR professional who has a minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner. The objective of the role is to effectively use human resources to accomplish the goals, mission, and vision of the business teams in Cybersecurity through positive HR employee relations. The HR Business Partner will report to HR management but day-to-day will be closely working alongside the business management team. This role will be responsible for handling various conflict resolutions, delivering policy information, and proposing solutions to enhance employee growth and retention.

With in-depth understanding of cybersecurity business goals, proactively recommends approaches, and perform continual improvements in employee relationships.
Partner with Business/HR managers to support management with employee growth and retention by conducting and leading all conflict resolution, legal compliance, facilitating medical requests.
Conduct timely internal research on employee’s various concerns such as wage concerns, overseeing health and safety procedures, handling workplace disputes, improving communication, addressing harassment and bullying, and clarifying company policy.
Proactively offers guidance and assistance to managers and project leaders to increase positive employee relations, team spirit, and efficiency.  
Coach employees on policy, conflict resolution, and change management to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
Partner in implementing and communicating policies and procedures to managers and team members including creating and conducting training opportunities.
Assist hiring process by creating/maintaining job description.
Facilitate various HR administration.
Perform other job duties as directed.
Fair and consistent thought process to handle and resolve complex Employee Relations and Human Resource issues.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or the like.
5 years’ experience in Human Resources Department and a part of an Employee Relations team.
Experienced in investigating and administering leaves of absences, therefore knowledge in short- term disability, long-term disability, FMLA, etc.
Strong understanding of labor and employment laws.
Experienced in ensuring all employees and management adhere to all company policies including paid time off policies.
Able to understand company’s stance.
Able to handle confidential information, using discretion and judgement.
Excellent written, oral, presentation communication skills.
Problem solving skills, critical thinking.
Good documentation skills. 
SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in HR Management or Business Administration.
5+ years in HR, as an individual contributor, preferably at an IT company
Facilitate various HR administration
