13037 Software Engineer 3

Our client in Austin, Texas requires the services of 1 Software Engineer 3, who meets the general qualifications and specifications outlined below.  This is a hybrid role with on-site 2 days per week and remote 3 days per week.  You must be local to the Austin, Texas area.  Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Agency. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., excluding Texas state holidays when the agency is closed.You may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.

Expectations for this role:
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.  Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

This role is for a Senior Java Developer.  You will work on the PCS SCOR EI. This role will be responsible for making updates to the SCOR Java. Updates include changes to business logic, updates to the user interface and business logic as well as extending reporting capabilities and the system data model. Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode. Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required. Maintaining code coverage, testing, and security policies and procedures is required. Available for on-call support as needed. Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations.
