Our client in Dallas, Texas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator. This role is responsible for managing billing and mileage activities for an existing client portfolio, including oversight of accounts with varying and complex billing requirements. The Accounts Receivable Administrator plays a key role in delivering a high level of service to customers by maintaining consistent communication with external clients, internal teams, and sales partners. The position also supports change management initiatives and requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables, and the flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute monthly and weekly billing processes for rental and mileage accounts, ensuring compliance with departmental SLAs and customer follow-up timelines
- Deliver value to the business by meeting diverse customer reporting and billing requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with upstream, downstream, and lateral business units to resolve billing and account issues
- Establish clear timelines and hold customers accountable for providing required monthly data to support billing processes
- Perform account reconciliations and detailed analysis for 3PLA and mileage accounts
- Research and resolve customer billing disputes, providing timely updates and accurate resolutions
- Process excess mileage charges and annual equalization billing activities
- Clearly communicate excess mileage and equalization charges, ensuring customers understand when, why, and how charges are applied across accounts or transactions
- Submit and process invoices through multiple customer and third-party billing portals as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma required; college degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service and/or billing experience in a corporate environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, from frontline employees to executive leadership
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships in a complex, matrixed organization
- Proven ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and shared goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of independently identifying and completing critical tasks with a sense of urgency
- Working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and their application to daily transactions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and multitasking capabilities
- Comfortable analyzing large data sets using Excel tools such as pivot tables, formulas, and related functions
