Our client in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable to join their Dallas office. This is a dynamic finance role that extends beyond traditional accounts payable responsibilities, offering exposure to a broad range of financial operations, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives. The position provides the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, contribute to cross-functional projects, and build expertise across multiple areas of accounting and financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with external vendors to resolve issues and improve invoice processing efficiency, including PO and non-PO invoices, on-hold reporting, and discount management
- Prepare accurate and timely 1099 and 1042 filings using Oracle Cloud Financials and third-party software
- Monitor Oracle Cloud integrations, perform basic root cause analysis, and collaborate with IT teams to resolve system issues
- Develop, document, and maintain accounts payable processes and workflows
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and optimization within procure-to-pay processes
- Drive supplier compliance with invoice submission requirements and portal usage standards
- Partner with Oracle Cloud managed service providers on support tickets and system enhancements
- Prepare key performance indicator (KPI) reports and operational updates for management review
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements through proper documentation and controls
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Support training and onboarding of new team members and share best practices
- Contribute to small and mid-sized projects while building subject matter expertise in accounts payable
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience, preferably in a shared services, accounts payable, or accounting environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
- Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and issue resolution
- Comfort working with evolving processes, systems, and technology implementations
- Desire to learn new areas of accounting and take on diverse responsibilities
- Leadership experience or interest preferred for future growth opportunities
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred
- Accounts payable experience in a shared services environment preferred
