Our client in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking an Educational Sales Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling education-focused communication, safety, and technology solutions within an assigned territory. This role is focused on developing a strong customer base, building long-term relationships with school districts, identifying new business opportunities, and securing project contracts that meet sales and profitability goals.
The ideal candidate has experience selling into K-12 schools, understands the education market, and is comfortable working with district leaders, decision-makers, contractors, engineers, and internal teams throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Secure project contracts in line with sales and profit goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with school district personnel, administrators, decision-makers, and end users within the assigned market.
- Maintain ongoing communication with owners, customers, and users throughout the installation process to ensure coordination and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the K-12 education market.
- Gather and prepare site information, photos, and project details for the engineering team to support quote development.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales activity reports, bid reports, and pipeline updates.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant products, equipment, systems, and industry trends.
- Perform product demonstrations for customers and prospects within the education market.
- Assist with collection efforts related to sales when needed.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain excellent organization, follow-up, and problem-solving practices.
- Use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare communications, reports, and presentations.
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet with customers, prospects, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the organization in a positive, customer-focused manner.
- Stay informed on education, IT, healthcare, life safety, and communication technology trends as applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of office-related experience; or
- Associate degree from an accredited college with 2 years of related work experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and on-the-job experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales and/or customer service experience.
- Background selling to K-12 schools strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis.

- Knowledge of education, IT, healthcare, communication systems, or life safety industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, such as NFPA, NEC, fire code, or life safety requirements, is preferred.
