Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make an impact across a dynamic multi-site business? Our client in Richardson, Texas is seeking a proactive Staff Accountant to join their team on-site daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In this hands-on role, you will work closely with their Corporate Controller to manage day-to-day operations, drive the month-end close process across three key sites, and support crucial financial workflows—from treasury operations to physical inventory accuracy.
What You’ll Do
- Core Accounting Operations: Maintain general ledger accuracy, execute month-end close tasks, prepare journal entries, and manage prepaid amortizations and recurring entries.
- Reconciliations & Analysis: Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations for three sites, handle inter-company account reconciliations, and perform actual-vs.-forecast expense analysis.
- AR/AP & Treasury Support: Assist with accounts payable/receivable, resolve vendor/customer disputes, and support cash management, including ACH/wire payments and cash applications.
- Financial Reporting & Audits: Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and compile necessary documentation for external auditors.
- Operations Support: Help oversee physical inventory accuracy and proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (manufacturing background or cost accounting experience is a major plus!).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Core Knowledge: Solid foundation in accounting principles and analysis (US GAAP knowledge preferred).
- Work Style: Sharp analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and comfort working in both standard office and active production/shop environments.
